The ICT PMO provides the governance to allow the selection, prioritisation and control of ICT’s projects and programmes in line with its strategic objectives and capacity to deliver. The goal is to balance change initiatives and business-as- usual while optimising return on investment. This governance of the ICT portfolio provides an opportunity to improve the management of projects and programmes consistently.

The SBP role is to act as client relationship management and to consult and shape the ICT requirements for the appropriate Directorates, ensuring it fully aligns to the IT Strategy; to deliver the City’s priorities. The ICT SBP is responsible and accountable for all ICT related business within their Directorates, owning the relationship between the business and the IT function . They are also responsible for delivering all aspects of the ICT programmes/projects ensuring adherence to both the IT Strategy and ICT policies and procedures.
Service Operations manage the day to day business of the service; Infrastructure, Customer Devices, Cloud and on prem Application support, Service Desk and supplier/3rd party support management. Ensuring a fit for purpose service that delivers support to our customers, both internal and external to the Council. The ICT Service Operations team comprises three distinct functions:
