In this cross cutting and pivotal role you will lead the iterative development and delivery of our digital, data and technology transformation programme, providing blended teams with inspiring strategic leadership and expertise to ensure that we define, deliver and maximise sector leading platforms, products, services and capabilities in support of our corporate strategy.  Putting our diverse customers at the heart of your thinking, your provision of a high performing, integrated technology infrastructure will provide a strong foundation for pioneering digital solutions, advanced analytics capability and optimum ways of working and you’ll lead others to deliver change in a large-scale live environment.

With experience of defining and delivering ambitious technology-enabled transformation in an organisation of a similar size, scope and complexity, you will be an accomplished and credible leader and change agent, able to secure cooperation and support for a high value portfolio of work from a variety of internal and external regional stakeholders, exceeding expectations through exceptional delivery.  An inspiring and effective communicator, you will bring experience of having transformed services and technology provision elsewhere, having led a step change in delivery capability and embedded an enterprise wide appetite for continuous improvement. You will also be commercially astute, able to build strong working relationships with a range of external partners to maximise impact and agility.

We are looking for an inspiring leader who is attracted to our strong vision for our great city who will work closely with our partners in Health and the  Greater Manchester Combined Authority taking forward our vision for the city.  The successful candidate will need to build strong working relationships with the Council’s Elected Members.
